Terms of use
Last updated:
This is a translation. If it differs from the Greek text, the Greek text applies.
These terms apply to the use of kos-handyman.gr (the “site”) and to quote requests made through it, by phone, WhatsApp, Viber or email. By using the site you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. Who we are
The site is run by:
- [LEGAL NAME], trading as “Τα Φιλαράκια / Kos Handyman”
- Address: [STREET ADDRESS], 853 00 Kos, Greece
- VAT number (ΑΦΜ): [ΑΦΜ / VAT NUMBER]
- General Commercial Registry (ΓΕΜΗ) no.: [ΓΕΜΗ NUMBER]
- Email: info@kos-handyman.gr · Phone: +30 694 419 4080
2. The site
The site presents our services, photos of our work and ways to contact us. The information is general and does not replace an inspection of your job. We keep it accurate and up to date, but we may change, add to or remove content at any time and cannot guarantee the site will always be available or free of errors.
3. Quote requests
- Asking for a quote is free and does not commit you to anything.
- A quote based on photos or a description is an estimate. Where needed, we come and see the job before giving a final price.
- The final scope, price, materials, timing and payment terms are those in the quote we send you and you accept. Unless the quote says otherwise, it is valid for 30 days.
- If, once work has started, we find something that could not be seen before (for example hidden damage behind tiles or plaster), we will tell you and agree any extra work and cost with you before doing it.
- Sending a request through the site does not create a contract. A contract exists only once you accept our quote.
4. The work itself
Our work is governed by the quote or agreement for that job and by Greek law. If a job needs a permit or the approval of others (for example the owners of a shared building), we will tell you and agree who takes care of it.
5. Your rights as a consumer
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under Greek consumer law (Law 2251/1994), including the legal guarantee for the work and, for contracts agreed away from our premises, the right of withdrawal within 14 days where the law grants it. The exceptions the law provides apply, for example for urgent repairs you ask us to carry out straight away.
6. Using the site properly
When you use the site, you agree to:
- give true details and contact information that belongs to you;
- send only photos you have the right to share, without content that is unlawful or offensive;
- not try to disrupt the site, get around its security check or send automated requests.
7. Photos, logo and content
The texts, logo, illustrations and photos on the site belong to us or are used with permission. You may not copy or reuse them for commercial purposes without our written permission.
Photos you send us remain yours. You allow us to use them only to assess your job and prepare a quote. We publish photos of completed work only with the owner's consent and without addresses or other details that could identify them.
8. Links and other services
The site links to services run by others, such as WhatsApp and Viber. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for their content or how they work.
9. Liability
The site is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss caused by using the site, by it being unavailable or by relying on its general information. This does not apply to damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, or where the law does not allow liability to be limited. Our liability for a job is governed by the agreement for that job and by the law.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Greek law. We will always try to solve any problem with you directly first. Otherwise the courts of Kos have jurisdiction, without affecting a consumer's right to go to the courts of their own place of residence where the law allows it.
Consumers can also turn to an out-of-court dispute resolution body, such as the Hellenic Consumer Ombudsman (opens in a new tab) (Συνήγορος του Καταναλωτή).
11. Language and changes
These terms are available in Greek, English, Albanian, German and Italian. If the versions differ, the Greek version prevails. We may update the terms; the version on the site on the day you use it applies, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
For our use of your personal data, see the privacy policy.
